At 8:00 am we celebrate Holy Eucharist, Rite One with readings, sermon, and prayers. After the service, join us for coffee, refreshments and fellowship in the Parish Hall.
At 9:00 am we offer an adult discussion group called “Reflect and Connect” (bring your coffee with you) led by the Rector.
At 10:00 am we celebrate Holy Eucharist, Rite Two with readings, sermons, prayers and music. After the service, join us for coffee, refreshments and fellowship in the Parish Hall.
On Wednesdays at 5:30 we offer a Rite II Eucharist Service with Prayers for Healing.
Nursery Care (up to age 3) is available from 9:30 – 11:00am.
Communion: All baptized Christians are welcome at The Lord’s Table. Stand or kneel as you please. The bread, or wafer, will be placed in your hand. You are welcome to drink the wine from the Common Cup, or intinct (dip) the wafer into the wine. Please inform the priest if you require a gluten free wafer. Simply cross your hands across your chest if you prefer to receive a blessing.
Hello! We’re Happy to See You! Ushers will greet you and give you a worship bulletin, which will guide you through the service and the blue 1982 Hymnal and the red Book of Common Prayer. Don’t hesitate to ask someone near you if you need help following along.
Directions: Our address is 55 Vaucluse Avenue, Middletown, RI 02842. Click on our Directions tab for ease in traveling to St. Columba’s. We are located at the junction of Indian Avenue and Vaucluse Avenue.
Parking and Entrances: Our parking lot is on Vaucluse Avenue, across the street from the Chapel and Parish House. The circular driveway in front of the Chapel has designated spots for handicapped parking.
Limited Mobility? No Problem! St. Columba’s is handicapped accessible to all. The entrance to the Chapel is ramped. The Parish House is on one level. During the service if you need Communion brought to you please sit near the front of the Chapel and inform the usher.
Rest Rooms: Rest rooms are located in the Parish House.
To become involved at St. Columba’s: Fill out a Visitor Card (located at the back of the Chapel and in the Parish Hall foyer) include your email address and we will be sure you receive our weekly electronic newsletter, the eChronicles. We will also make you a name tag, and if you request, have the rector call you.
