Meet the Reverend Anne Bolles-Beaven

While Fr. Larsen is on Sabbatical leave August, September and October, the Reverend Anne Bolles-Beaven, daughter of the Rev. Hebert and Bambi Bolles, long time members of the St. Columba's family, is our supply priest. Anne is a graduate of Barnard College and the General Theological Seminary. The first woman to be ordained in Brooklyn, by Bishop Hunt of RI in 1990, Anne served in the Diocese of Newark for 23 years.

Her pastoral ministry has been spent "going about the towns and villages" serving as interim, Sunday and sabbatical supply, as well as Priest-in-Charge of the Church of the Holy Innocents in West Orange, NJ.

She served for many years on a variety of diocesan boards including Co-chair of the Women's Commission, Education Chair of the Commission on Ministry, and longtime board member of North Porch providing critical supplies to women and toddlers in need.

Anne and her husband, Paul, have two children, Emma, 27, a teacher in NYC and William, 22, recent graduate of Oberlin Conservatory. The family moved to Middletown last June and is delighted to be "home"!
